💕 Teaching k-12 kids how to give a GREAT speech is one of my favorite things to do! When my own kids were teens, I helped plant a local speech and debate club, Indianapolis REJO!CE. Each Fall, I had the privilege of coaching 30-40 teens (ages 13-18) in 10 different speech categories as we prepared for the NCFCA tournament season (January-June). I'm proud to say that I had hundreds of competitors who won local, regional, and national awards. Although winning was sweet when all that hard work paid off, my greatest joy is that those kids who are now adults have the persuasive public speaking skills to lead with confidence. Hope you enjoy this workshop! 💕
P.S. After his initial "deer in the headlights" speech freeze, Connor perfected his speaking skills and went on to win several first place awards at the local and regional level and five invitations to perform at the national championship in duo interpretive speech and team policy debate. :-)
Give your child my simple, one-page PDF worksheet to make speech-writing easy! Five sections with cues for learning HOW to say it using the canons of classical rhetoric, plus I'll also give you private access to my very own Bright Moms Library where I archive all my free homeschool printables, worksheets, study guides, and much more!
Every week, I share one of my favorite children's book recommendations, so join me and other creative moms in our facebook group today by clicking LIKE below. Consider this your invitation to collaborate. :-)
